My latest commission is a special portrait of a little miniature donkey named Teddy.

Several people have asked, so I'm offering Secret Mares' Business and Sometimes We Comfort Each Other as limited edition prints.
30 x 30cm with a 2cm white border on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 paper, signed and numbered, $90 + $15pp. $10 from each print will go to Quest Equine Welfare.  The editions will be limited to however many orders I have by 8pm this Thursday, August 28.

My Solo Show Opens Tomorrow

I have been neglecting my blog of late but it's been for a good cause.  I've spent the past three months painting day and night for my exhibition that opens tomorrow at Wyreena Community Arts Centre.  The gallery is open Mon - Sat and my show goes 'till August 2. I'll be there each Saturday for 'meet the artist', so come say Hi!

Making it up as I go

This is the preparatory drawing for a new painting that will be part of the exhibition I'm having later this year.  I made a rough thumbnail sketch, then started drawing onto the timber panel, letting it evolve as I drew.  I hope I can keep the same feel when I paint it.

New Paints.

So for my next big paintings I'm swapping my trusty acrylic gouaches for some beautiful Golden acrylics (big shout out to Luke at St. Luke Artist Colourmen). Over the weekend I made this little piece in a getting-to-know-my new-paints session. Then I gave it to my friend for her birthday.
